Created for 805 Beer in an unorthodox fashion as the brand was driven by the lifestyle and ethos of the people from California’s Central Coast and the brand wanted to separate itself from the craft beer cliche’s of the time. As 805 was expanding beyond their humble upbringings, we wanted to continue associating with so many others who were cut from the same cloth. 805 achieved double digit growth year over year through film, photo, social, events and good beer. The “Authentico’s” were created as free spirits, rooted in rugged individualism, and specifically aligned with 805 beer. 805 has become a phenomenon on the West Coast of California and beyond.

Extensive market research, created flavor profile with brew team, package design, ad campaigns, point of sale, talent acquisition, commercials, digital marketing strategy, out of home, and public relations..

 
 

MUSIC VIDEOS

When 805 was preparing to launch an extension to the their highly popular California beer brand, they wanted a short piece to introduce the beer to a team of sales associates and executives. We produced and directed a short sales intro, then turned it into a full length music video with Cumbia punk rockers “Tropa Magica” then made multiple commercial and social assets, to be delivered over the course of the campaign. This highly efficient production was a cost effective endeavor the brand and company.

A short commercial piece created for Booker Winery - which includes the enigmatic founder Eric Jensen. Harvey & Harriet is a specialty spin off brand which he created as a homage to his loving parents and the story comes to life in this 30 sec spot.

 
 

2 BE CONTINUED FILM

The full length documentary on 4 time Supercoss champion Ryan Villopoto. He was the best rider of his generation. He won everything there is to win. Yet, Ryan Villopoto is the most private, reserved and soft-spoken individual in the sport. Hailing from the school of walking softly and carrying a big stick, the supremely talented and fiercely determined athlete lets his riding - and winning ways - do the talking. This film set out to peel back the layers and dig out the soul and charisma of a true champion.

 
 

WHITE NOISE

The lifestyle and riding outtakes from the feature film “2 Be Continued” starring Ryan Villopoto packaged up into a short viral film. Utilizing mostly Kodak film stock, we went behind the scenes with several different film camera’s to capture Ryan in a way his fans have never seen before.

 
 
 

MISFITS

Limited Edition licensing deal with the iconic punk rock band and motocross brand One Industries. Creative direction in collaboration with the Misfits management team, including a full apparel and technical line for the brand. Built a full 360 marketing plan which included social, digital and print advertising, a product release party, and experiential marketing events campaign to promote and support the product collaboration.

VOLCOM

Founded in 1991 Volcom Stone became one of the best board sport brands in the world, while utilizing film to tell the story. “Youth Against Establishment” and the unorthodox brand ideology set the stage for a 20 year run through the 2000’s. Re-invention came later along the way with a new “True To This” campaign that carried on traditions of the past for the future of the brand. The early days of Volcom set the pace for many more brands to follow.

 
 
 

LET THE KIDS RIDE FREE

The Totally Crustaceous Tour was founded in the mid 90’s and successfully ran for twenty plus years. The tour was modeled as a template for Volcom’s “Let The Kids Ride Free” experiential surf, skate, snow event series. These events were always themed and revolutionized the surf world offering up to $100,000 dollars in prize money, including a free entry - kids and parents in over 11 countries had the time of their life at these events.

 
 
 

DARRYN DURHAM & TYLER BEREMAN

Desperately wanting to break out of the corporate supercross mold, two young riders explored free riding in the new age - while paying homage to the pioneers of the freestyle movement in the 90’s. We went into the hills in early 2013 with film maker Ryan Walters for a test shoot for an upcoming feature film. Due to the rise of social media and you tube, we would eventually cut it all down to a short feature on Darryn Durham and emerging star Tyler Bereman.
